MOUNT VERNON — Angela Kay Myers, 37, of Mount Vernon, lost her battle with Crohn’s Disease and Melanoma July 10, 2019. She was born June 4, 1982, in Mount Vernon to Allen and Ruth (Frazee) Myers.
Angela was a Mount Vernon High School graduate, class of 2000. She then graduated in 2012 from COTC with her registered nurse degree. She was employed as a manager of Wendy’s of Mount Vernon and Pataskala, a supervisor for 1-800-FLOWERS, and an ICU nurse at Knox Community Hospital. Angela had attended Lakeholm Nazarene Church, where she was baptized Oct. 7, 2018. Angela was a loving and caring person. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Allen and Ruth Myers of Mount Vernon; best friend since seventh grade, Krystal Drye; close friends, Megan Kelly, Belinda Russell, Robert Dennis, along with many other friends; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and feline companions, Milkshake and June.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Harley and Stella Frazee, and paternal grandparents, John and Mary Jane Myers.
Monetary or food donations are encouraged to be sent to the Knox County Cat Shelter in Angela’s memory.
Calling hours will be held at the Lasater Funeral Home Saturday from 12-2 p.m. with a celebration of life service to begin at 2 p.m., Pastor Scott Sharpes officiating.
