FREDERICKTOWN — Betty L. Ritchie, 81, of Fredericktown, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 22, 2019, at her home. She was born Dec. 4, 1937, in Sistersville, West Virginia, the daughter of Herbert and Verna (Meade) Allison. Betty retired in 1998 after 23 years of employment with American National Can.

Betty was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fredericktown where she played the piano for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, but most important was the quality time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Deb) Ritchie of Perrysville, Randall (Pink) Ritchie of North Port, FL, and Sharesa Fisher of Fredericktown; five grandchildren, James Ritchie, Heather (Jeff) Saylor, Chris (Michelle) Ritchie, Erica (Elliot) Harris, Meghen (Kelly Kimbler) Fisher and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Ritchie, and a great-granddaughter, Krista.

Friends may call Thursday, June 27, from 5-7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where a funeral service will be held on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Memorial Contributions in Betty’s name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fredericktown.
