MOUNT VERNON — On June 22, at 1:30 p.m., Knox Partnership for Arts and Culture invites everyone to a free screening of the original movie, “The Wizard of Oz”, in the beautiful, historic Woodward Opera House in downtown Mount Vernon.

The “Wizard of Oz” is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. Winner of two Academy Awards and nominated for four more, The Wizard of Oz has been delighting audiences, young and old, for eight decades. And, if you haven’t had a chance to see the beautifully renovated Woodward Opera House, America’s oldest authentically restored theater, you are in for a real treat! Bring all your family and friends to enjoy this free showing of “The Wizard of Oz”!
