MOUNT VERNON — Jeffery A. Archer, 68, of Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019, at his residence. He was born in Medina, Oct. 31, 1950, to the late Frank and Minda (McKinney) Archer.

Jeff graduated from Highland High School and worked at Continental Can for over 17 years. He was a member of Chesterville United Methodist Church. Jeff enjoyed fishing, hunting and just the outdoors in general. He enjoyed gardening and being around friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry (Burson) Archer; children, Elizabeth Archer, Shawna (James) Hawk; grandchildren, Kayla, Chaz (Katie), Dillan, Zack, Sonya, Juilet, Tessa; great-grandchildren, Braylee, Addilyn, Memphis; several brothers and sisters; sisters-in-law, Dixie (James) Miller, Linda (Roy) Miller; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Suzie Stefan; sister-in-law, Angela Savage; foster parents, Joe (Jan) White, Howard (Cleo) Snow.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.

The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Jeffery A. Archer.
