MOUNT VERNON — Mackenzie Huey and Jennifer Kurelic were honored with All-Crossroads League Awards on Tuesday afternoon.

Huey was named All-Crossroads League after a breakout freshman season. She hit .408 with seven home runs and 42 RBI, slugging .640 with a .479 on-base percentage. Huey was also solid in the pitcher’s circle, logging a 4.45 ERA in 66 innings and striking out 39 batters.

Kurelic was named All-Crossroads League Honorable Mention for her senior campaign. Kurelic was MVNU’s most effective pitcher, going 12-5 on the season with a 3.27 ERA in 105 innings, striking out 63. Kurelic also had a great season at the plate, hitting .385 with a .415 on-base percentage and 23 RBIs.

Huey was named All-Crossroads League for the first time, and is one of only four freshmen to make the first team this season. Kurelic was named to the honorable mention team for the second consecutive year.
