MOUNT VERNON — Rosa J. Neighbarger, 48, of Mount Vernon passed away on Friday morning, May 3, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 3, 1971, in Mount Vernon.

Rosa was a 1990 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and the Knox County Career Center. She worked for Walmart before her illness. Rosa enjoyed coloring and playing with her canine companions, Zero, June Buggy and Honey.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Mark, whom she married on April 21, 1992; her son, Nicholas (fiancée, Lindsay Thompson) Neighbarger of Mount Vernon; her father, Russell Steitter; sisters, Dee Dee Bergs and Michele Bergs of Mount Vernon; a niece, Meghan; a nephew, Kody; and her father and mother-in-law, John and Pam Neighbarger of Mount Vernon.

Rosa was preceded in death by her mother, Georgene (Brienza) Seitter.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service celebrating the life of Rosa at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon, with Pastor Jason Harding officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
