COLUMBUS — A week after local girls’ basketball teams learned their tournament opponents, the boys’ teams found out who they would be playing.

In Division I, Mount Vernon is the No. 36 seed, and will play at No. 6 Upper Arlington on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m.

Highland has a first-round bye as the 15th seed in Division II, and will take on the winner of the game between No. 18 Independence and No. 3 DeSales at the home of the higher seed on Saturday, March 2, at 1 p.m.

Division III teams begin play on Monday, Feb. 25, with all games starting at 7 p.m. No. 15 East Knox will travel to No. 14 North Union, and Fredericktown, the 16th seed, is on the road against 13th-seeded Liberty Union. No. 17 Northmor will play at No. 6 Pleasant, and Northridge, seeded 19th, will travel to No. 3 Worthington Christian.

Three other Division III teams have first-round byes, and begin action on March 2. Utica, the 26th seed, will be on the road to play either No. 1 Harvest Prep or No. 25 Columbus International at 7 p.m., and at the same time No. 22 Mount Gilead will play the winner of Northridge-Worthington Christian. No. 3 Johnstown will host the winner of the Fredericktown-Liberty Union contest at 1 p.m.

Three Division IV games will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m., and No. 3 Centerburg will host 11th-seeded Northside Christian, and No. 7 Danville will be home against No. 12 Granville Christian. Cardington, No. 13, will travel to Ridgedale, the fifth seed.
