MOUNT VERNON — Donald W. “Bill” Curran, 95, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at the Country Court Care Center in Mount Vernon. He was born May 19, 1923, in Mount Vernon, to the late John and Ruth (Kidd) Curran.

Bill graduated from Mount Vernon High School and shortly after joined the United States Army Air Force. He was proud of flying in 33 missions during World War II as a radar operator in a B-52. Bill worked for Bill’s TV Clinic as a repair man. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Mount Vernon and enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Curran; five grandchildren; and his friends, John (Ruth) McBride and Gregg McBride.

Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Spearman) Curran; a son, John Curran; a daughter, Kathy Cowan; and a sister.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
