UTICA — Melissa D. Taylor, 46, of Utica passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, Feb. 1, 2019, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on Feb. 8, 1972, in Newark to Larry A. Beever and Cheryl (Klintworth) Hackett.
Melissa enjoyed painting and going on hikes, but her greatest passion was spending time with her kids. She attended the VGF Church in Heath.
Melissa is survived her husband, Walter E. Taylor; her father, Larry of Mount Vernon; her birth mother, Cheryl of Utica; her adopted mother, Marianne Shepard of Charlottesville, Va.; her children, Braedon, Gavin and Gabriel Harrison-Taylor of the home; sister, Lisa Moore of Newark; a brother, Mike (Jama) Beever of Mount Vernon; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of a service celebrating the life of Melissa at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at the Grace Pointe Community Church, 892 East Columbus Road, Utica, with Pastor Brad Kittle officiating.
