HOMER — Homer Public Library, 385 South St., NW, Homer, has released the following calendar of events for the month of February.
•Wednesdays, Feb. 6, 13, 20, and 27, 10:30 a.m.: Story Hour-Birth through Pre-Kindergarten. Join us for stories, songs, games and crafts. Please note, if Northridge Schools are closed, story hour will be canceled.
•Thursday, Feb. 7, 7 p.m.: Rochelle Walters will present a wellness program which includes hot tea with Vitality oils, oils to sniff and try, and a Zyto Balance scan that, based on the body’s galvanic skin response to virtual items, can provide insight to health and wellness decisions. •Monday, Feb. 11, 11 a.m.: Recipe Exchange. In honor of Valentine’s Day, please prepare your sweetie’s favorite dish for sharing. Don’t forget to bring the recipe, too. We invite and encourage guests to join us and be taste testers (no experience required). No need to bring a dish; just come join us for good food and conversation. We always have plenty of food to share and you might find a new recipe you like. Table service and drinks provided.
•Tuesday, Feb. 12, 6:30 p.m.: Rock Painting for kids. Join us and create your own rock designs. All supplies will be provided.
•Thursday, Feb. 14, 2 p.m.: Movie Matinee. Join us in the showing of the romantic comedy “Crazy Rich Asians.” Popcorn will be served.
•Thursdays, Feb. 14 and 28 at 6 p.m.: Ukulele Association of Homer. This is a time for fellow uke players to meet for ukulele practice and to share their enthusiasm for this unique instrument in an informal setting. All ages are welcome.
•Monday, Feb. 18, 6:30 p.m.: Retro Teen Game Night. Play classic board games, meet new people, and have a great time. For ages 11 to 18. Snacks will be provided.
•Friday, Feb. 22, 11 a.m.: Book Club. The book selection this month is “The Sometimes Sisters” by Carolyn Brown. Reserve your copy by calling or stopping by the library. Join us for an informal, interesting and lively discussion.
•Tuesday, Feb. 26, 7 p.m.: Homer Historical Society. There will be discussion on local history and genealogy.
