Financial reports, the conversion of vans to natural gas and options of automated dispatching software were the topics discussed when the Knox County Board of Commissioners met Monday morning with Matthew Kurtz and Martin McAvoy for an update on Knox Area Transit.
While Mount Vernon City Schools and the Knox County Career Center are engaged in discussions with the City of Mount Vernon concerning a school resource officer, Fredericktown schools and the village have already reached an agreement and, since March, an officer is regularly on site at the school building.
Progress reportedly being made at 307 Sychar Road was the report of Environmental Health Director Nate Overholt when the Knox County Board of Health met Wednesday evening at the Knox County Health Department.
