MOUNT VERNON — William “Will” Brown, 82, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 at his home. He was born April 6, 1933, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late Walter and Rebecca (Haggard) Brown.

Before retirement, Will drove truck over 4 million miles for Consolidated Freight Line. He honorably served his country in the Army and was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness with the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses in Mount Vernon.

Will is survived by his sisters, Ruth Glover of Plainfield, Ill., Dora Tate of Pacoima, Calif., Cheyenne Toole of Cleveland Heights, Dianne McDaniel of Northridge, Calif., Christena Hughes of Richmond Heights and Patricia Acey of Taylor, Mich.; brother, John McDaniel; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Will was preceded in death by wife, Imogene Brown; son, Allen Brown; and brother, Paul Alonzo Brown.

In following with Will’s wish, there will not be any services.
