Gambier narrows list to 5 administrator finalists

The village of Gambier is currently in the process of interviewing five finalists for the village administrator position, with interim village Administrator Dave Martin saying the interviews should conclude by the first week of January.

Pro Care lowers price for EMS service in Monroe

Pro Care Medical Transportation Service has offered to lower its price for EMS service for Monroe Township following township trustees deciding Monday they would not be able to accept the lone bid for EMS service that Pro Care provided, at $14,900 per month.

Knox County Commissioners received word recently that a new recovery house for up to five women in need of long-term care, located on Wooster Road inside the city, is expected to open by late winter to early spring.

Cruiser costs add to sheriff’s budget

Monroe Township weighs fire, EMS decision

Monroe Township trustees have very little time to put a fire department staff together, along with firefighting equipment, including turn-out gear, but one trustee said a local fire department — the Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District — is willing to provide mutual aid as needed.
