PICKERINGTON — Wilma J. McDougle, 75, of Pickerington, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019. She was born in Lima June 30, 1943, to the late Donald and Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Searfoss.

Wilma was a 1961 graduate of Auglaize Local in Harrod. Wilma continued her education at Bowling Green State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1965. Wilma worked over 30 years as a first and second grade teacher in the Mount Vernon Public Schools, as well as various other districts. She enjoyed spending her time volunteering at church and schools. Wilma assisted her husband, Lynn, in coaching for various sports. In her retirement years, she and Lynn ran a professional photography business and loved to travel together.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Alice (Derrol) King.

Wilma is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, L. Lynn McDougle; daughter, Monica (Michael) Estis; granddaughters, Ahkia and Monique; siblings, Dean (Doloris) Searfoss, Carol (Bob) Foulkes, Ruth Ann (Lynn) Huffman, Sue (Monte) Reitz, Jane (Don) Guy, and Roger (Annette) Searfoss; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 8, from 4-8 p.m., at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, where a service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Violet Cemetery in Pickerington.
