FREDERICKTOWN — Robert L. Meredith Sr. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, in Ohio Health Riverside Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 69.

He was born March 17, 1949, to parents Richard and Ruth (Roberts) Meredith in Mansfield, and graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1967. He also proudly served his country by joining the Air Force in 1968 during the Vietnam War.

He worked for Gorman Rupp for over 33 years until retiring in 2007. In his spare time Bob enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and watching sports.

He is survived by his children, Rob (Ellen) Meredith, Jeremy (Cathy Haycook) Porter, Stephanie (Derek) Caudill; grandchildren, Taylor Hildebrand, Noah Porter, Allyson Meredith, Briana Brauchler, and Brooklyn Wright; great-grandchildren, Ava, Braden, and Jenevieve; and his father Richard (Maxine) Meredith; and sister, Linda Soloman.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife Vicki L. Meredith.

The Meredith family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 4, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home with Military Honors at 5 p.m.
