MOUNT VERNON — Margaret A. Italiano, 94, of Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 26, 2019, at Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon. She was born Jan. 21, 1925, in Youngwood, PA, to the late Joseph and Mary (Kacvinsky) Kochis.

Margaret was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing the Nickle card game with family and friends, watching her TV shows and playing tennis in her younger years. Margaret looked forward to wintering in Florida and hosting parties.

Margaret is survived by her step daughters, Mary Joan (Jeff) Miles of Mineral City and Bonnie Jean Billman of Florida; several step grand and great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Donald Crunkilton of Mount Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Italiano; sisters, Agnes Tims, Elizabeth Walsh, Catherine Sakala and Helen Crunkilton; and brothers, Steve, Michael, John and Jake Kochis.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at noon on Friday, Feb. 1, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon. Margaret will be laid to rest beside her husband, Steve, at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
