WALHONDING — Joyce A. Peck, 66, of Walhonding, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon. She was born April 19, 1952, in Columbus, the daughter of Stephen and Alice (Eubank) Gray. Joyce previously worked as a manager of the Shake-n-Grinder in Mount Vernon and also worked in several of the local nursing homes.

Joyce enjoyed sewing, knitting and gardening, but most important to her was the quality time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Gibson of Johnstown, Angel Peck of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Bill (Heather) Peck of Walhonding; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William R. Peck, in 2018.

Friends may call Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 5-7 p.m. at The Old Horseshoe Restaurant and Tavern, 65 S. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Joyce A. Peck.
