MOUNT VERNON – A whopping 226 food item donations were collected during the food drive held during November for Food for the Hungry at Brian Howe DDS Family Dentistry. During December, Dr. Howe’s Family Dentistry collected over 100 new mittens, gloves and hats that have been donated to children in Knox County.

“We are happy and proud to be part of this generous community,” commented Dr. Howe after seeing the stacks of food lining his reception area. “Our patients really rose to the occasion, bringing in food all during November to share with those less fortunate than ourselves.”

As an incentive, patients who donated food during the drive received a $25 coupon toward their dental services. In December, the office Christmas tree was decorated with the mitten, glove and hat donations.
