MOUNT VERNON — Marlene L. Clark, 71, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Knox County, to the late Ralph and Adah (Tobin) Yauger.

She graduated from Mount Vernon High School and worked for Rite Aid. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, reading magazines, but most of all she loved being around her husband, James.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, James Clark; several nephews; and her loving pets.

Along with her parents, Marlene is preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
