MOUNT VERNON — Betty Jo Frary-Deedrick died Dec. 22, 2018, in Mount Vernon. Born in 1930 in Loudonville, Betty was the daughter of W. Keith and Mary M. Frary. She graduated from the Ohio State University in 1954 with a BSN and finished her career at Genesis Healthcare System in Zanesville, Ohio in 2000.

Betty is survived by her five children: Kate Deedrick of Dayton; Stephen (Valerie) Deedrick Jr. of Newark; John (Melinda) Deedrick of Noblesville, Indiana; Lora (Steve) Zinn of Centerburg; and Meg Deedrick (Dale Raines) of Zanesville.

She also loved her grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Andrew Deedrick of Charlotte, North Carolina; Jennifer (Trey) Ourand of Fishers, Indiana, and their daughters Claire and Paige; Katie (Thomas) Schuster of Sunbury; Noah (Mary) Zinn of Johnstown; and Kelsey Raines and Ben Raines, both of Columbus. She is also survived by her brother, William K. Frary, of Lebanon, and several nieces and nephews.

Her family will host a celebration of her life on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Gay Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. They will greet guests starting at 2 p.m., and the service will begin at 3 p.m.
