CENTERBURG — Hamer Kay Thompson, 76, of Centerburg, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at home. He retired from PERS of Ohio, was a member of Businessmens Bowling League of Mount Vernon, scroll saw woodworker, loved hunting and exhibiting his Tennessee Walking horses. He was also U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Thompson is survived by his wife of 52 years, Saundra; daughters, Michelle Blackford and Kimberly Hart (fiance, Jason Doolin); grandchildren, Sydney Ray, Mackenzie Hart and Dalton Bradley; sisters, Lila, Nympha, Vera and Norma; brothers, Dale and Loyal; best friends, Bob and Mary Friend, Dave and Audrey Leonard; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg, Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. where service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Stephen Howard, officiating. Interment Bloomfield Cemetery.
