MOUNT VERNON — Floyd C. “Butch” McNeil, 79, of Mount Vernon passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at the Knox Community Hospital.

He was born July 27, 1939, in Mount Vernon to the late William and Stella (Houbler) McNeil.

Butch is survived by the love of his life, Karen Kreps; his daughter, Susan (Jeff) Combs; his son, Robert McNeil; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his daughter, Daunette Reebel; two sisters; and his brother, Robert Wayne McNeil, who was designated M.I.A. in the Korean War.

Friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 5-7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held Wednesday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lee Cubie officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
