MOUNT VERNON — Harry Fredrick Bales, 82, of Mount Vernon, passed away Nov. 27, 2018.
He was born July 10, 1936, in Glen Alum, W.V. to the late Charles and Josie Bowles.
Harry was a former member of the Colonial City Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Charles L. Bales of Florida; daughter, Joyce Pfouts of Mount Vernon; a brother, Major (Jean) Bowles of Mount Vernon; granddaughter, Jocyelynn (Jack) Culbertson of Mansfield; and his special companion, Ruth Potter of Mount Vernon.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Bales; two sons, Harry Jr. and Jim Bales; along with a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
