MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon Nazarene University athletics hosted a recruiting day in Ariel Arena Sunday and every sports program was represented.

Over 60 prospective student-athletes were in attendance at the event, and were able to take advice from current MVNU coaches and student-athletes on the recruiting process and the college athletics experience as a whole. As a result of MVNU Recruit Day, the prospective student-athletes and their families were able to leave Ariel Arena with newfound knowledge in a variety of areas.

“Recruit day was a great opportunity to educate young student-athletes about the process of recruiting and choosing a college,” said head coach Ryan Farr of MVNU Lacrosse. “Our goal was to see families come away from this event better equipped to maneuver important decisions with regards to their choice of university and the college athletics experience. From a number of conversations with those in attendance, I believe we fulfilled that goal.”
