FREDERICKTOWN — Donald “Ross” Durbin, 79, passed away in Montrose, Colorado, Nov. 11, 2018. Ross was born Oct. 17, 1939, in Sparta to Kenneth Harry Durbin and Flossie Sue Perkins Durbin. He is preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Kenneth Junior Durbin.

Ross graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1958. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion and AMVETS. He worked on and built airplanes for Boeing in California for many years, then later went back to school for computer programming. He worked with computers until he retired to Colorado.

Ross is survived by a very large family which includes one brother, Robert D. Durbin of Mount Gilead, and two sisters, Mary A. Justice of Florida and Donna J. (Bob) Romero of Colorado; four children, Donald R. Durbin of Arizona, Donna R. (Troy) Olson of Minnesota, Riesa R. Kirk of Fredericktown, and Kenneth R. (Linda) Durbin of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Upon the family’s request, no flowers or donations at this time. Private services will be held at a later date.
