MOUNT VERNON — Robert Lewis Casto, 84, of Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at his home.

He was born June 11, 1934, in Mount Gilead to the late Robert and Ruby (Miller) Casto. Robert was employed at Weyerhaeuser from which he retired after 37 years of service. Robert was a veteran serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Lois (Haberkorn) Casto; two daughters, Brenda Griffith and Francis Casto; four sons, Gary Casto, Terry Casto, Doug Casto and Bruce Casto; his step-son, Russ Montgomery; three step-daughters, Cindy Edwards, Melissa Gottchalk and Nikki Freeman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Shirley Lehman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Casto.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, Nov. 9, at The Salvation Army Church beginning at 11 a.m. with Capt. Christine Baker officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County.
