For most, the election season consists of watching some ads, doing a little research on the candidates and issues and spending a short time at the polls, but for people behind the scenes, poll workers or “judges” and the board of elections and its employees, election “day” is a process that spans the weeks before and after the Tuesday of elections.

Weather impacts state meet and training

As the Centerburg girls and Fredericktown girls and boys cross country teams were zeroing in on the state meet last week, hazardous course conditions forced the OHSAA to postpone the race a week, forcing runners and coaches to readjust their schedules to get their best times at the state meet.
