MOUNT VERNON — Norma (Fladen) Treleaven, 81, of Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at the Ganzhorn Suites Specialized Memory Care in Powell. Norma was born Dec. 21, 1936, in Steubenville, to the late Leo and Eva (Little) Michlow.

Norma graduated from Steubenville High School in 1954 and attended The Ohio State University. She was the Director of the Mental Health Association in Mount Vernon for 20 years. She enjoyed music, animals, feeding birds and Broadway Theatre. She especially loved her pets, Coco and Mittens.

Norma is survived by her sons, Eric Fladen, Jeff Fladen; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend and caregiver, Verna.

Along with her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Robert Fladen; second husband, Lew Treleaven; a brother, Howard Mishlow.

A private service will take place at a later date.
