AVON — Kristen Osborn of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team (13-18, 2-13 CL) has received recognition from the Crossroads League for her play over the last week.

The senior Biology major from Salem was a key component in MVNU’s three victories last week over Goshen College, Point Park University and Kenyon College. In the Cougars four set victory against Kenyon College, Osborn surpassed over 1,500 kills for her career.

Osborn swung well all week to record double-digit kills in each game while carrying a heavy workload and hitting .255. Her 18 kills in a five-set defeat against Hiram were a new season-high mark, and she played well in that one defensively as well to record 17 digs.

MVNU volleyball will next be in action at Grace College (17-13, 9-5 CL) tonight at 7 p.m.
