MARENGO — Thomas Sidney Myser, 89, of Marengo, died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, in St. Clairsville, surrounded by his loving family. A retired Chemistry and Physics teacher in both Sunbury and Mount Vernon, he was born March 22, 1929, in Marengo to the late Willard and Grace Myser.

Preceded in death by brother, James; sister, Clara.

Survived by loving wife of 68 years, Mary L. Myser; devoted children, Richard (Debbie) Myser of St. Clairsville, Robert B. Myser of Dallas, Texas, Sherry L. McReynolds of Phoenix, Arizona; grandsons, Nathan (Stacie), Patrick (Jen), Nicholas (Kristin), Adam (Sara), Scott (Sarah), Tyler (Krysten) Myser, Brandy McReynolds and Sean McReynolds; 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3), Sunbury, OH. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Saturday at Alum Creek Friends Church, 3385 State Route 229, Marengo. Pastor Adam Garrabrant and Nicholas Myser officiating. Interment Bloomfield Cemetery.
