MOUNT VERNON — Two Columbus men were arrested on drug-related crimes after the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Unit executed search warrants Monday evening at two apartments located at 532 E. Gambier St., Mount Vernon.

According to a release from the sheriff’s office, a probable cause, no-knock search warrant limited to the two downstairs apartments was obtained through Mount Vernon Municipal Court to search for evidence of felony drug trafficking and drug possession. The warrant was executed at approximately 9 p.m. Monday.

Formal charges against the men are expected to be filed later today. Charges are also anticipated on other individuals who were at the scene during the search, and the case remains under investigation, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
