JACKSON, Mich. – Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s golf stayed put in sixth place of 13 teams competing at the Bill Bockwitz SAU Fall Classic, as a team score of 306 was carded on the final 18 holes of play.

MVNU’s three-round total was 922 (315, 301, 306), and the Cougars were led on the final day by senior Sam Romine’s even par 72. Romine finished the 54 hole event in a tie for ninth place overall with a +7, 223 (76, 75. 72).

Nick Harmon was next in line for MVNU in a tie for 17th, as his final round 79 gave him a three-round total of 226 (76, 71, 79).

Kaden Welch (35th, 233), Adam Grate (T46, 240), and Austin Baker (T66, 259) rounded out the scoring for the Cougars in the third event of the fall season for head coach Mike King and MVNU men’s golf.

MVNU men’s golf will turn right back around and travel for the Saint Francis (Ind.) Invitational Friday through Saturday. The event will be played at the Autumn Ridge Golf Club and the Cherry Hill Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.
