APPLE VALLEY — Roger Harper, 77, of Apple Valley, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, in Mount Carmel West Hospital, Columbus. He was born Aug. 27, 1941, in Barnesville, a son of the late Keith and Winnie Harper.

Roger was a 1964 graduate of Muskingum College and was employed for 27 years by NCR as Director of Human Resources in both their Cambridge and Dayton offices. He served on the Board of Directors of Knox Energy.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Kay Blaine Harper; a son, Timothy “TJ” (Julie) Harper; five grandchildren, Heather (James) Murphy, Tanner Harper, McKinzie Harper, Kylie Harper, and John Harper; two brothers, Bob (Robin) Harper and Jon Jay (Tina) Harper.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a son, James “Corky” Harper.

Visitation will be Thursday at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville from 11 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 12 noon. Inurnment follows in Bush Cemetery near Malaga.
