GAMBIER — The Kenyon College Department of Music presents a series of concerts this fall that showcase musical selections from a variety of genres and generations. All events are free and open to the public. For more information, call the Department of Music at 740-427-5197. Events include:

•Friday, Sept. 14: The Warner Concert Series, sponsored by the Department of Music and the Charlotte Warner Chamber Music Fund, presents violinist Elizabeth Chang and pianist Alissa Leiser at 8 p.m. in Storer Hall’s Brandi Recital Hall, 105 College Drive. The duo will perform works featuring American composer Charles Ives’ Second Sonata, Mendelssohn’s Third Sonata and Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata.

•Saturday, Sept. 22: Parthenia, a New York-based viol quartet that brings early music into the present, will perform at 8 p.m. in Rosse Hall, 105 College Drive. This performance is part of the Taylor Concert Series, established in 1993 through a bequest from the late Professor of Music Kenneth Taylor and gifts made in his memory.
