MOUNT VERNON — Family and friends will gather at Rastin Tower in Ariel-Foundation Park this evening at 7 p.m. All are welcome to bring a picture of a loved one they have lost to a battle with overdose or to simply to lend their support to those who are going through loss.

Organized by Grievers of Overdose support group, this event will focus on memories and hope, allowing participants to come together, honor those they have lost and emphasize, showing no one is alone. As a part of the event individuals will be sharing their experiences.

Grievers of Overdose is for anyone who has lost a loved one due to a drug overdose. The group offers a safe environment, in which to grieve and to receive support and encouragement for the healing journey. The group meets from 5:30-7 p.m. at Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, and is facilitated by Hospice of Knox County, The Freedom Center and Knox Community Hospital.
