MOUNT VERNON — Charlene Kay Black, 76, of Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, at home. She was born Oct. 5, 1941, in Ashland to the late Charles William and Kathryn Blanche (Carr) Keith.

Charlene is survived by her daughter, Lorelei Black of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Ethan Black, Sarah Black and Tiffany Poland; sisters, Carol McKinney of Mansfield and Jolene Rissler of Mansfield; brothers, Vernon Keith of Texas and Robert Keith of Arizona; daughter-in-law, Debra Black of Connecticut; several nieces and nephews; and former son-in-law, Larry Poland of Mount Vernon.

In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by a son, Johnathan Black; a brother, James Keith; and her former husband, Phillip Roger Black.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
