COLUMBUS — Thomas Edward Baker, 67, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Kobacker House after a short battle with cancer. Tom was born April 7, 1951, to Doyal Linbergh “Lindy” Baker and Leota Inez (Conkle) Baker in Mount Vernon. He married Karen (Carr) Baker, who survives, on Feb. 7, 1987.

He is also survived by his sons, Brian Thomas (Danielle) Baker, of Columbus, Bradly Edward Baker, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and Shelby Collin Baker, of Columbus, and grandchildren James Marshall Baker and Arianna Lei Baker.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; his sister, Connie Lee (Baker) Biggs; and his stepmother, Mary (Hunt) Baker.

Tom graduated from East Knox High School in Howard in 1969. He graduated from Columbus Tech (State) in 1973. He also attended Ohio State University and Franklin University. He retired as a Drafter from Facility Design Inc. in 2016, having previously worked at ADR & Associates and R.S. Fling & Partners.
