CENTERBURG — Edward Leroy Green, 88, of Centerburg, died peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Retired in 1995 from the National Electric Coil Company and a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korea, Ed was always busy, working on a project, or creating one, and loved Bluegrass music. He was a member of New Bethel Christian Union Church.

Green was preceded in death by a sister, Emmagene (Herb) Carlton; and step-daughter, Patricia Strickland.

He is survived by loving wife of 46 years, Gladys M. (Cramer) Green; nieces, Susan (Don) Carlton-Rowney of Toledo, Rosemarie Carlton of Columbus; step-son, Gerald R. (Pamela) England of Columbus; step-daughter, Roberta England Mossbarger of Columbus; son-in-law, Marty Strickland; five grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 19, at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3), Sunbury, OH, where Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. Rev. Jonathan Dotson officiating. Interment with military honors to follow at Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.
