CENTERBURG — The Centerburg local schools board of education began its August meeting Monday evening by officially welcoming its newest member, Jennie Borton. Borton is an appointed board member, filling a previously vacant seat.

Borton is a life-long Centerburg resident, with four generations of her family graduating from Centerburg High School. She, along with her husband, Todd, have raised their sons, Jared and Joel, in the district as well.
