CENTERBURG — Serve The Burg, a quarterly day of service helping community members and improving community spaces, will be held for the summer quarter Sunday at 9 a.m. Volunteers should report to the Centerburg elementary school cafeteria at 9 a.m. to register for a service project and to grab coffee, juice and donuts.

This quarter’s Serve The Burg schedule, coordinated by Center Pointe Church in Centerburg, is full according to Assistant Pastor Bryan Hetterscheidt. Volunteers will aid the Centerburg Boosters Club in cleaning up the Trojan stand at the Hartford Fair, while others paint the steps and concession doors at the football stadium. Volunteers will also be cleaning up the flower beds and pulling weeds around the school just in time for the start of the school year.
