MOUNT VERNON — The city has received another $200,000 to help with the expense of the Parrott Street/South Main Street intersection improvement.

Area Development Foundation President Jeff Harris notified the city Friday the grant had been awarded by JobsOhio. He credited the efforts of Justin Bickle at Columbus2020 and Samer Youef, plant lead at Owens Corning Insulating Systems, for the success in obtaining the grant.

The grant will reduce the city’s “out of pocket” expense by almost half, reducing it to $205,000.
