HOWARD — Members of the East Knox Board of Education were given a tour of the facilities Thursday evening, ahead of the August board meeting the same evening. The tour was led by facilities and grounds director Mike Scott.

The board members toured the current Junior and Senior High School building, which is in need of repair. During the July 12 board meeting, the board discussed architectural firms for the project, landing on pursuing the Dublin-based architectural firm Fanning Howey Associates to potentially take up the project. The contract with the Fanning Howey Associates was not formally brought before the board for a vote at this meeting because the contract is not finished, according to Superintendent Steve Larcomb.
