MOUNT VERNON — The monthly meeting of the Knox County Educational Service Center Wednesday afternoon oversaw the hiring of several last-minute employees in the county before school resumes next week.

Superintendent Timm Mackley included the personnel recommendations in his report, which included preschool teachers, learning center teachers, reading and math tutors, substitute teachers, substitute aides, as well as a student services support and ESC resident educator summative assessment supervisor position for former Mount Vernon Middle School vice principal Sherry Miglin.

The board also approved the line-ups of bus drivers for Centerburg, Clear Fork, Danville, East Knox and Fredericktown local schools per the superintendent’s recommendation.
