MOUNT VERNON — A Howard woman was injured in a buggy-vehicle crash that occurred on Ohio 229 Tuesday.

Ada Miller, 24, was injured after a buggy she was driving was rear-ended by a truck on Ohio 229, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Mount Gilead Post, reported.

Miller was transported to Knox Community Hospital and flown via medical helicopter to OSU Medical Center. Miller was listed in fair condition Thursday morning at the hospital.

According to OSHP reports, Miller was in a horse-drawn buggy westbound on Ohio 229 at approximately 6:29 a.m. The buggy was rear-ended by a Ford F-150 driven by Megan Brady, 26, Howard, the patrol told the News.

Brady was cited for assured clear distance.

The crash remains under investigation by the patrol.
