MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Junior Fair Sale livestock sale was a huge success this year, OSU Extension Educator Andrea Reese told the fair board Wednesday.

She said receipts will be about $100,000 more than last year and are hovering at about $795,000. Final figures are still being compiled by First-Knox National Bank.

Reese said no individual sales records were set, but there were some new buyers involved and there was an across-the-board increase in prices. There were 575 lots sold at the auction.
