MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon 11-and-under All-Stars suffered a 12-2 loss at the hands of Galion on Wednesday, which was Mount Vernon’s second loss in the Ohio 9-11 State Little League Tournament, ending the team’s run.

In the top of the first, Galion struck first with a run to take a 1-0 lead before the All-Stars took to the plate. Mount Vernon was blanked in the bottom of the first, before the visiting team tacked on another two runs to increase the lead to 3-0. The All-Stars were again held scoreless in the second.
