MOUNT VERNON — For the last four years, Carol McCutcheon has been the proud owner of a 1972 Avanti II and now the car enthusiast has jumped at an opportunity to display the classic car on a turntable at Summit Racing Equipment in Tallmadge.

McCutcheon took the vehicle to Summit Racing Tuesday morning where it will be displayed for the next month. She explained that she attended the Studebaker-Packard Show last year with her Avanti II and was approached by the president, who asked if she would be interested in displaying her car.

“It’s a great honor,” McCutcheon said. “They only choose two out of 200 cars to display.”
