MOUNT VERNON — Every five to seven years, the Knox County Regional Planning Commission brings out the County Comprehensive plan and reviews it.

Committees organized by the Regional Planning Commission spent most of 18 months going over the plan, said County Commissioner Teresa Bemiller, who served on the review committee. Sections of the plan were rewritten and updated where needed, then the Planning Commission sent the final product on to the commissioners this spring for approval.
