MOUNT VERNON — Craig Howard Davis, 56, of Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018, at his residence. He was born Oct. 27, 1961, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Harry and Ottis (Wolford) Davis Sr.

Craig was a 1982 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He worked as a self-employed construction worker in Columbus. He was a member of the Church On the Rise in Mount Vernon. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.

He is survived by a daughter, Misty (Andy) Hammond; four grandchildren; sisters, Amber (Broderick) Ryan, Rose (Tony) Brewer, Michele (Melvin) King, Dee (Charles) White, Debbie Davis; brothers, Edgar (Joan Kododo) Davis, Harry Davis Jr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Craig was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Doug Davis.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens, officiated by John Frances.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
