CAMBRIDGE — The Mount Vernon 10-and-under All-Stars suffered an 11-1 loss to host Cambridge in the District 5 Little League Tournament on Saturday, finishing as the district runner-up.

The All-Stars kicked off the contest at the plate, but failed to get anyone aboard. Cambridge struck first, scoring on an RBI single to take a 1-0 lead in the first. Mount Vernon quickly responded in the second. Luke Mullins led off the frame and got on a base via a single and was brought around on a sacrifice hit by Coen Anderson, knotting the game at 1 apiece. Cambridge was limited to one baserunner in the bottom of the second, keeping the score tied.
